The liner takes the wear while the breaker plate body is reused; replacing liners is cheaper and faster than replacing the whole plate.

Ideally change liners on the same breaker plate together; matching wear across plates keeps a uniform gap and avoids uneven product grading and rotor vibration.
Are the breaker plate liners reversible?
