Causes: overload, fatigue, corrosive environment, improper installation (eccentric loading), and material defects. Prevention: avoid over-travel compression, regularly check free length changes, and use anti-corrosion coating or stainless steel in corrosive environments.
How to evaluate whether a shock absorber needs replacement?
Replace the shock absorber when oil leakage, rubber cracking and aging, significantly reduced damping (slow or no rebound after pressing), or mounting seat cracks occur; normal service life is 3-5 years or 8000-12000 working hours; replace in pairs to ensure consistent damping.
What are the storage and usage precautions for rubber parts?
Store at 5-25°C with relative humidity ≤65%, avoid direct sunlight and ozone environment, keep away from heat sources and grease; shelf life is typically 2-3 years from the production date; avoid sharp objects and use special tools during installation; direct hammering is prohibited; different rubber materials (NBR/FKM/EPDM) differ in temperature and oil resistance and must not be mixed.
