What causes rapid wear of bushings?
Main causes include: poor lubrication or oil contamination, excessive journal surface roughness, improper fit clearance, overload or impact loads, and abrasive particles entering due to uncleaned installation. Regularly test oil cleanliness and clearances.
How to troubleshoot seal ring leakage?
First check whether the seal is aged or deformed (beyond shelf life or high-temperature service), then check the journal surface for scratches and wear, and finally check whether the installation direction is correct (lip facing the medium side). Check mating surfaces at the same time when replacing.
What is the replacement cycle for bushings and seals?
Under normal conditions, the replacement cycle is 12-24 months for bushings and 6-12 months for seals. Decide based on monitoring data: replace promptly when clearance exceeds 1.5 times the initial value or abnormal temperature rise or vibration occurs.
