Common causes: tooth wear or pitting, improper meshing clearance, poor lubrication, bearing damage, and excessive installation concentricity deviation. Handling: check oil quality and level, measure tooth-side clearance, inspect tooth face damage; slight wear can be monitored after adjusting clearance, while severe damage requires replacement.
How to correctly select and install pulleys?
Select the pulley model and diameter based on transmitted power and speed, ensuring the groove type matches the belt; during installation, the two pulley axes must be parallel with groove alignment deviation ≤1mm; belt tension should be moderate (15-20mm deflection when pressed); recheck tension after the first 24 hours of operation.
What are the alignment requirements for couplings?
After installation, use a dial indicator to check radial and face runout; for rigid couplings, radial deviation ≤0.03mm and angular deviation ≤0.05mm; for flexible couplings, tolerances can be relaxed but not exceed 0.1mm; poor alignment causes vibration, bearing overheating and premature coupling damage.
